ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Earnest M. Skinner

Earnest M. Skinner was well known for his understanding of the scriptures and fervent testimony of the divinity of the Savior. He was a blessing to all who knew him with his knowledge of the restored gospel. Brother Skinner served in the Church Educational System for thirty-three years and was recognized as a master teacher, an outstanding speaker and successful administrator.

Brother Skinner served an LDS mission in the Eastern States where the history of Joseph Smith, Sr., began. He willingly served in many leadership roles throughout his life of church service, including stake patriarch.

He was born in the Bear Lake Valley at Nounan, Idaho. He received a degree in education from Utah State University and an advanced degree in counseling from Brigham Young University. He married Mabel Clarinda Peterson of Mesa, Arizona, and with her delighted in their posterity of seven children, thirty-four grandchildren, and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
